From our roots in the West Region of Cameroon, LEDUCANET works at the intersection of community health, women's rights, and vocational training — with the people, partners, and persistence to make change last.
We were founded in 1998 by university professors and applied-linguistics researchers to bridge communication gaps in rural Cameroon. Today, we are a fully gazetted NGO tackling the root causes of vulnerability: preventable disease, the under-representation of women in governance, and the lack of economic opportunity for young people.
Every program is rooted in the West Region and built on long-term partnerships with local communities, district hospitals, and international funders.
As a recognized Community-Based Organization, we partner with Dschang and La Mifi district hospitals to track and support people living with HIV, run decentralized testing, distribute prevention materials, and lead malaria sensitization campaigns.
