Operating continuously since 1998

Empowering communities. Saving lives. Building futures.

From our roots in the West Region of Cameroon, LEDUCANET works at the intersection of community health, women's rights, and vocational training — with the people, partners, and persistence to make change last.

Our mission

Communication is the first step. Empowerment is the work.

We were founded in 1998 by university professors and applied-linguistics researchers to bridge communication gaps in rural Cameroon. Today, we are a fully gazetted NGO tackling the root causes of vulnerability: preventable disease, the under-representation of women in governance, and the lack of economic opportunity for young people.

What we do

Three pillars. One mission.

Every program is rooted in the West Region and built on long-term partnerships with local communities, district hospitals, and international funders.

Community Health

As a recognized Community-Based Organization, we partner with Dschang and La Mifi district hospitals to track and support people living with HIV, run decentralized testing, distribute prevention materials, and lead malaria sensitization campaigns.

Women's Empowerment & Governance

We train young female leaders, political aspirants, and local animators in leadership, electoral processes, and advocacy — creating safe spaces for women to engage with decision-makers on the issues that shape their lives.

Vocational Training

We deliver practical skills training to marginalized youth, building the technical capacity and entrepreneurial mindset they need for economic independence and resilient livelihoods.
